About the event
Minimus is a story-based Latin course for KS2 primary pupils, comprising two textbooks: Minimus and Minimus Secundus. The narrative follows the lives of a real family who lived at Vindolanda on Hadrian's Wall in 100AD. Pupils learn Latin grammar and vocabulary and explore elements of Romano-British culture. The two pupil textbooks are supported by a teacher's guide, pupils workbooks and other materials.
Over these three sessions, we will aim to cover at least Chapters 1-3 of Book 1, and potentially up to Chapter 5 depending on pace. All those teaching in a state primary are welcome to attend; no prior knowledge of Latin will be expected.
